Noamundi is a small mining town which comes under Noamundi block of West Singhbhum District in Jharkhand. It is situated about 64 km south-west of
Chaibasa, bordering the state of Orissa. Nearby the town lies a famous Shiva temple called Murugeshwar Mahadev Temple attracting scores of visitors, where a grand festival is celebrated annually on the occasion of Shivratri. The village also boasts a magnificent waterfall.
