Baiju Temple

Baiju Temple is situated at Babadham, close to the main market of Deoghar. This temple complex contains three small temples, each housing a shivling. Built by the heir of the main priests of the historic Baba Baidyanath Temple, Baiju Temple attracts a large number of devotees.

According to myth, Lord Vishnu had asked a Bhil boy called Baiju to pour some water on a shivling. As he had no pot to carry water, he filled the water in his mouth and poured it upon the shivling. It is believed that Lord Shiva, impressed by the devotion and simplicity of Baiju, appeared before him.

Devotees to this place can also visit many ancient temples including Baba Baidyanath Temple.

Babadham has its own railway station and the nearest airport is Ranchi Airport.
