Cavelossim is a beautiful village, 11 km south of
Colva, in the south-west taluk of
Salcette in South Goa District, Goa. This picturesque village, also known as Kavlesi, has open paddy fields and the
Sal River flows through this village before merging with the Arabian Sea. There is a Cavelossim- Assolna ferry crossing near the mouth of the river.
The clean, white, sandy
Cavelossim Beach is the main tourist destination in the village.
Mobor Beach is a nearby attraction. Margao is 18 km from here where the nearest railway station is situated. Goa Airport at
Dabolim is around 42 km away. Cavelossim also holds a wide range of hotels suitable for accommodation.
