Umko is a small town in Sarguja District of Chhattisgarh. Ambikapur, the district headquarters lies to the south-west. The town lies about 18 km east of Manpur and 20 km west of Samri. Other neighboring towns include Lahsunpat (16 km north), Kandri (19 km north) and Rehra (9 km south).
