Thakraha is a
taluk headquarters and prominent town in
West Champaran District. It is around 21 km west of
Bettiah.
Thakraha lies along the western bank of Gantak River and is badly affected during the overflow of the river.
Patna Airport and Varanasi Airport are the convenient airports. Nearest major railhead is Bettiah Railway Station.
