Nunmati is a small township in Kamrup District. It is bounded by Guwahati in the west, Kurua in the north, and Dispur in the south. It is one of the oil-producing regions with refineries. Guwahati Refinery, the first in public sector, is situated here. The refinery produces aviation fuel, furnace oil, light diesel, and petrol.
