Chariduar

Situated 34 km north of Tezpur in Sonitpur District of Assam, Chariduar has a vast area of forest cover and is famed for its forest products. Chariduar is also known as Balipara.

It is an industrial hub of Sonitpur District and Kampur Yarn Mill is located here. Chariduar reserve forests are marked for its elephant population.

Balipara Railway Station is managed by the North East Frontier Railways.
