Zion Church, initially for meant for Danes, is situated at about 40 km from
Chidambaram at the corner adjoining the King Street and the Queen Street of
Tranquebar. The church was built in 1702 was renovated in 1782-84 and in 1839. It belongs to the Church of South India.
