Zagadiya Teerth

Shri Zagadiya Teerth is a Jain pilgrim center situated at Zagadiya, about 32 km west of Bharuch, in Gujarat. The temple enshrines a 104 cm high white-colored idol of Bhagwan Adinath, the first of 24 Jain Tirthankars, in the Padmasana posture.

Shri Zagadiya Teerth features a beautiful outer arched gateway. The inscriptions of the idols reveal that they belong to the year 1200 of the Vikram era. The idols were first installed by the then King Shri Gambhirsinhji.

Zagadiya Railway Station, on the Ankleshwar-Rajpipla railway line, is just a kilometer from the teerth.
