On the banks of the
Gomti River, Zafarabad is a medieval town located on the southern outskirts of
Jaunpur city. The town boasts some remains of Hindu temples and Buddhist
Viharas.
Badshahpur lies 12 km north of it. Yaduvendranagar,
Kerakat and Chandwak are other nearby towns.
Zafarabad, about 6 km from Jaunpur, is well connected by road and rail. Zafarabad Junction Railway Station and Varanasi Airport serve the town.
