Yuru Kabgyat is a festival celebrated in 2nd Tibetan month at
Lamayuru in
Jammu and Kashmir. It lasts for two days.
On this occasion, the monks of the Lamayuru Monastery pray to get rid of the calamities and perform mask dance and rituals. People of Ladakh appear in traditional wears adding an ethnic touch to the festive atmosphere. The festival concludes with destruction of the sacrificial offerings.
