Yingkiong, also called Ningguing, is the administrative headquarters of Upper Siang District. It lies 556 km north-east of Itanagar - the state capital – and 180 km north of Along.
Yingkiong sits on the banks of Siang River, and hence is a favored angling spot. It also serves as suitable base of trekking enthusiasts venturing to the upper reaches of Arunachal Pradesh. Mouling National Park is about 30 km south-east of Yingkiong.
