Welfare Center for Mentally Handicapped is a non-profit non-governmental organization in New Alipore in Kolkata. It provides service to mentally retarded persons.
The organization counsels the guardians and creates awareness among the public regarding mentally retarded people. Training in personal care, personal social development and vocational skill development programs are provided. The organization has a residential care unit, day care center and a resource center for the guardians to know about their children.
Education and lodging are offered at Anandalok, a part of the Welfare Center and a residential home and training center in the suburban region of Kolkata.
