Wangtoo




Wangtoo (often spelt Wangtu) is a picturesque hamlet located in Kinnaur District, Himachal Pradesh. It lies on the Shibaling Pass trek route in Baspa Valley. Sutlej River, one of the major tributaries of the Indus River, flows through the village. Wangtoo Bridge is the main attraction here. It lies on the border of the Kinnaur District. Sangla Kanda, Tranda, Charang, Kanda Lake, Sapni, Chitkul, Chaurah, Tranda, Karchham and Nichar are nearby tourist destinations. Wangtoo is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available. Wangtoo can be accessed from Sangla. National Highway 22 passes through the village.
