Waggu is a traditional mat of
Jammu and Kashmir. Making of this mat is one of important occupation of the local people.
Reed grass, locally known as ‘pits,’ is used in the making of this mat. Waggu produced in the village of Lasjan, south of Srinagar, is considered one of the best among the many varieties that are available.
