Vridheshwar Nath Mandir




Vridheshwar Nath Mandir, also known as Aka Budha Mahadev, is an ancient temple located at Ratanpur, about 25 km from Bilaspur, in Chhattisgarh. The shrine is said to be one of the most miraculous and mysterious temple of Ratanpur. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva, enshrined in the form of a Shivling. The idol made of bronze-alloy attracts large number of people.

A popular belief among the devotees is that even if thousands of pitchers of water are offered (poured) over the Shivling, the water-level never increases.

Vridheshwar Nath Mandir and Girijabandh Hanuman Mandir are situated on either side of Ram Tekri and attract thousands of devotees every year.

Shri Mahamaya Devi Mandir, Mahamrityunjaya Panchmukhee Shiv Mandir, Kanthi Dewal Temple and Kaal Bhairav Mandir are the other temple sites situated nearby.

Bilaspur Junction Railway Station, on the Mumbai-Howrah main line is the nearest railhead.
