Vridha Siva is a sacred place with a
Shivling behind the birth-site of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu at
Antardvipa, one of the nine islands of
Navadvipa. There is another shivling on the left side known by the name Gopiswara. Vridha Siva is also known by the names Ksetra-pala and Siva Doba.
It is said that a temple existed at this place during the time of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, which was washed away by the Ganges.
