Established in 1986 by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust, Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology is situated on the Bangalore-
Bellary National Highway, about 23 km away from
Bangalore. It is affiliated to
Visveswaraiah Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
The institution conducts B E courses in civil, mechanical, industrial engineering and management, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, telecommunication, biotechnology, computer science, and information science. Post graduation courses such as MCA, MBA and M Tech in Mechanical and electronics are also offered.
