Vishnu Temple at Vidisha




Situated at Vidisha, this temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu. It has the idol of Vishnu in reclining posture on Sesha. The temple is a Brahmanical structure which dates back to the 2nd century B C. It is the first shrine in India, which was constructed with lime mortar or cement.

Vidisha is 56 km from Bhopal and is well connected to other major places by the road and rail.
