Vishnu Temple




Vishnu Temple is one of the ancient shrines in Gorakhpur. A large idol of Lord Vishnu, which is made of Kasauti (black) stone, can be seen here.

The temple belongs to the Pal dynasty of 12th century. Ramlila is organized here on the eve of Dusshera, during which a grand procession is held. It is in close proximity to Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station.
