Vishnu Mandir is a highly revered shrine, located near
Lonar Lake, in
Buldhana District. It enshrines the idols of
Lord Shiva and
Lord Ganesh. The inner chamber of the shrine is noted for the beautiful carvings of lion. According to legends,
Lord Ram performed the Tarpan (a ritual for the dead) of his father here.
