Villiswara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located at Idikarai, 16 km north of Coimbatore. The presiding deities are Lord Villiswara and his consort Vedanayaki.
The main chamber enshrines Lord Villiswara who is said to have gifted a mighty bow to Lord Ram, when he came to worship the lingam here before his war with Ravana. A beautifully carved Nandi is seated before the sanctum. There are also idols of Lord Ganesh and Lord Dakshinamurthy.
The festivals celebrated here are Arudra Darisanam and Kalyana utsavam.
