Vidya Bhavana

Vidya Bhavana, an institute of humanities and social sciences is at Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan. It was established by Rabindranath Tagore in 1925. The institute offers regular under graduate and post graduate courses in its constituent departments of humanities and social sciences. One year integrated course on Indian Culture and Civilisation is conducted for foreign students. Expert career counseling is provided to students in order to guide them on various courses. The Bhavana holds a well-equipped Archeological Museum that preserves large number of manuscripts in Sanskrit, Bengali, Oriya, Tibetan, Arabic and Persian. Research programs are also organized.
