The Victoria Hospital, presently known as Seth Govinddas Hospital, was built in 1876 in memory of Raja Sahib’s grandson. At that time, it was one of the most beautiful hospital buildings in the region. The Victoria hospital served as the Jabalpur Medical College Hospital also for several years, from 1955 to 1968. The Medical College has been later shifted to its present premise at the Tripuri Campus in Jabalpur.
