Vettakkorumakan Temple is located at
Kottakunnu in
Nilambur, about 36 km from
Malappuram. The presiding deity is Vettakkorumakan. The temple is managed by the Nilambur Kovilakam.
Nilambur Pattu festival, which falls in the month of February, is a unique event in the temple. The festival is marked by the participation of tribal, who are warmly received by the royal family. It starts with the hoisting of the festival flag brought by the tribal from the forest.
The nearest railhead, Nilambur Road Railway Station is the terminus of the Shoranur-Nilambur railway line.
