Venkanna Ratham

Venkanna Ratham, literally means chariot, is one of the highlights of Yanam. Its weight is 15 tonnes. It was built by the then committee in 1950. The Ratham was partially destroyed due to the heavy cyclone in 1996, and it was reconstructed in 1998.

Venkanna Ratham, after the electrification works, is carried by devotees through the town, especially from Kunnamedy Junction to the New Bus Stand, during Venkanna Festival.
