Vengurla Rocks

Burnt Islands



Vengurla Rocks is one of the main tourist attractions of Vengurla, a coastline situated on the southern part of the Maharashtra. They are bare rocks without any water or vegetation and it is also known as Burnt Islands. Vengurla Rocks lies to the south-east of Vengurla.

The rocks were once an important point for seafarers. There is a lighthouse located about 10 km out in the sea.

The nearest railway station is at Sawantwadi (24 km) on Konkan Railway. Vengurla is about 524 km from Mumbai by road. The nearest airport is at Dabolim(112 km), Goa.
