Vembakkam

Vembakkam is a block in the northern region of Thiruvannamalai District in Tamil Nadu. Located close to Kanchipuram District, this administrative unit is around 20 km south-west of Kanchipuram.

The famous Jain temple, Munigiri Teerth lies at Karande village near Vembakkam. Agatheeshwarar Temple at Kaagavanam (Kaganam) is a sacred spot close to Vembakkam.

Vembakkam is accessible from Kanchipuram via Abdullapuram. Kanchipuram Railway Station serves the area. Chennai International Airport is the nearest airport.
