Velneshwar is a picturesque village, located about 170 km from Chiplun, in Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra. It lies to the north of Shastri River.
Velneshwar Beach, lined with coconut trees, forms the prime attraction here. It is an ideal spot for swimming. Another attraction is an ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. A major draw is Mahashivaratri fair held here annually.
