Vellore Central Bus Station

Vellore Central Bus Station lies to the east of Vellore Fort. Thiruvalluvar Transport Corporation (TTC) buses ply to Tiruchirapalli, Madurai and Thiruvannamalai. Tickets for long distance services can be booked in advance from the reservations counter at the station. Other regional bus companies also operate buses connecting Vellore with Chennai, Bangalore, Cuddalore, Erode, Tirupati, Thanjavur, Ooty and Kanchipuram.

Katpadi Junction Railway Station is about 5 km away from Vellore town. Vellore Cantonment Railway Station is about 2 km south of the town. For local journey, auto-rickshaws, city buses and taxis are available.

Mayura Lodge, Hotel Solei, Srinivasa Lodge and Nagha International Lodge are the nearby hotels. The century-old Christian Medical College and Hospital is a landmark of Vellore. Other major attractions are Vellamalai Temple and Jalakanteswara Temple.
