Velinalloor




Velinalloor is a picturesque tourist destination endowed with green paddy fields and hills, on the banks of the Ithikkara River, in Kollam District. It is situated on the Oyoor – Pakalkuri road, at 3 km from Oyoor and 3 km from Pakalkuri.

The chief landmark of this village is the Sree Rama Swamy Temple, surrounded by river on its three sides. Velinalloor is a border village and extends from Velinalloor Panchayat in Kollam District to Kalluvathukkal Panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram District. The award winning Kathakali singer, Kalamandalam Gangadharan hails from here.

Nearby attractions include the Baliyam Kunnu, Pakalkuri Mahadevar Temple and Oyoor Keezhuttu Sree Durga Devi Temple.

Trivandrum International Airport and Kollam Junction Railway Station are the nearest access points.
