Veeranam




Veeranam, resembling Chenda, is a percussion instrument used in Kerala.

Wood of Jack fruit tree and leather of goat is used to make this instrument. Another name of it is ‘Iruthudi Veeranam.’

The instrument is mainly used in the temples of Kerala.
