Veeramala Hills

Veeramala Hills is a tourist destination located at Cheruvathur in Kasargod District of Kerala. It is around 10 km south of Nileswaram.

The main attraction is the ruins of a Dutch fort built in the 18th century at the hilltop. The natural beauty of meandering Kariangode River and the view of surrounding places from the hilltop makes this an ideal picnic spot.

National Highway 17 passes a few kilometers east of Veeramala Hills. Cheruvathur Railway Station on the Nileswaram - Payyanur line is the nearest railhead.
