Vazhakulam

Pineapple City



Vazhakulam is one of the famous tourist spots in Kerala. It is a small township of Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam District. The place is popularly known as pineapple city, as it is one of the largest producers of pineapples in India. Beautiful green hills and rivers adorn Vazhakulam. There are many century old monasteries here.

Apart from pineapples, rubber, coconut, coffee and areca are cultivated. The Muvattupuzha river flows through this place.

Cochin International Airport is about 30 km away from here.
