Vatanappally is a small costal village situated on the coastal belt of Thrissur District, about 20 km from Thrissur town. During the pre-independent era the place was ruled by the Dutch, English, Portugese and French. Durga Devi Temple, Thekke Jumath Mosque, Vatanappally Church and Vatanappally Beach are the nearby tourist attractions.
The nearest railway station and the bus station are at Thrissur. The nearest airport is the Cochin International Airport. Buses are available from Thrissur Bus Station.
