Vasupuram




Vasupuram is a scenic village near Wadakanchery, Thrissur District of Kerala. It lies on the Kodakara – Vellikulangara route and is around 3 km from Kodakara. It is about 1 km from National Highway 17. The village is famous for the Areswaram Sree Dharmasastha Temple, known as the Sabarimala of women,a highly revered shrine dedicated to Lord Ayyappa. The tourist attractions in and around Vasupuram are Kerala Kalamandalam, Guruvayoorappan Temple, Vazhani Dam and Sree Ruthira Mahakalikavu Temple. Regular bus services connect Vasupuram with Wadakanchery and Thrissur. Wadakancheri Railway Station and Cochin International Airport are the nearest railhead and airport.
