Vardahalli which is nearby the
Jog Falls, is famous for the
ashram of Shri Sridhar Swamy. It is at the top of a hill and has a calm, cool and serene atmosphere. This ashram is frequented by a number of disciples and devotees, mainly from the neighboring
Maharashtra. This was the place where the sage Shri Sridhar Swamy meditated. The
Samadhi of Shri Sridhar Swamy and a vedic school are also located at this place.
Talaguppa, which is just 12 km from the Jog falls, is the nearest rail station on the Birur line.
