Vanakbara




Vanakbara is a small fishing village situated on the western part of Diu town, Daman and Diu. The lifestyle of the inhabitants resembles that of Gujaratis. A wander through this village offers a sight of the locals mending nets and repairing their colorful fishing boats.

The major attractions are Church Our Lady of Mercy, old fort, lighthouse and fishing fleet. The village also has a bazaar and a post office. Boat services are available from here to Kotla village, which is linked with Kodinar by road.
