Vallam

Vallam, on the National Highway 67, is a town in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. It lies between Thanjavur and Sengipatti, at about 12 km from Thanjavur and 46 km from Tiruchirapalli.

Periyar Maniammai College of Technology, Shanmugha College of Engineering, Adaikalamatha College, Al-Islam Matriculation School and St Francis Xavier’s Church are the landmarks.

Kumbakonam, a tourist destination with worth visiting temples, can be reached from Vallam.

Tiruchirapalli Airport and Thanjavur Junction Railway Station are the nearest airport and railhead respectively.
