Vakreshwara is a town located 13 miles south-west of Siudi in
Birbhum District. It is the place where sage Ashtavakra performed austerities. It is also known as Gupta Kasi. Lord Nityananda is said to have visited this place. There is a temple of
Lord Shiva, Sweta Ganga temple. A river flows towards the northern side of the town.
