Vairamudi Festival




Vairamudi is an annual mainly festival celebrated by the people of Melkote in Karnataka. During the festival, the deity of the hill shrine, Lord Vishnu, is adorned with the legendary diamond-studded crown brought from the Mysore Palace.

Vairamudi Festival is celebrated in March as a part of the 10 day Brahmotsavam. It is observed by thousands of devotees.
