Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala is less than a kilometer from
Thaikkattussery in
Thrissur District. It was founded in 1941 by the Mooss family, one of the most prominent Ashtavaidyans of
Kerala. The center is named after the great Ashtavaidyan Narayanan Mooss.
The Oushadhasala's nursing home has 39 ordinary rooms and one deluxe AC room with all modern comforts. A wet canteen serves traditional Kerala vegetarian dishes prepared in total conformity with Ayurveda. There is a well equipped diagnostic laboratory and a physiotherapy unit in the nursing home compound. The ayurvedic medicines needed for the treatments are manufactured in the Oushadhasala itself.
