Vadtal Vav

Vadtal Vav is an old-fashioned step well located at Vadtal in Gujarat.

Built in the 6th or 7th century, the 40 ft deep well is constructed out of stones and has minimal motifs, designs and latticework. It has an entrance at the western end with stairs leading into the semi-dark interior of the structure. There are doors in the interior portion, which are made of wood, and are big and wide enough for a single person to pass through.

Shri Swaminarayan Temple is another point of interest in Vadtal.
