Vadippatti




Vadippatti is the headquarters of a taluk, situated on the National Highway 49, about 20 km north-west of Madurai, in Tamil Nadu.

Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Tiruparangundram and Pazhamuthircholai are sites worth visiting in the Madurai District. Kodaikanal, Palani, Shenbagathope Grizelled Squirrel Sanctuary, Ayyanar falls and Pilavakkal Dam at Watrap constitute short excursions to the neighboring districts.

Nearest airport is at Madurai. Passenger trains halt at Vadippatti Railway Station, situated on the Madurai–Dindigul rail line of the Southern Railways. Madurai Junction Railway Station is the major railway station nearby.
