Vadaseri




Vadaseri is a small agricultural village, about 35 km south-east of Thanjavur. Lying about 14 km south of Mannargudi and about 16 km north of Pattukkottai, it is centrally located on the Mannargudi-Pattukottai road.

The population is about 10,000 and they engage mostly in agricultural activities. The place has many temples such as Sri Kamaatchi Amman Temple, Sri Naachi Amman Temple, Ayyanar Temple and also temples dedicated to Lord Ganesh and Lord Muruga.

Vadaseri is 325 km from Chennai. By train, one has to travel from Chennai to Kumbakonam, Pattukkotai or Thanjavur and then reach Vadaseri by local buses. Vadaseri can be reached by road from Chennai via Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Vikkiravandi, Panruntti, Neyveli, Vadaloor, Sethiathope, Kumbakonam and Mannargudi.
