Uttarayan Complex




Uttarayan Complex in Shantiniketan was the place where Rabindranath Tagore lived. The museum and art gallery houses the Nobel Prize medal, a watch, and a bangle used by the poet. The gallery also has an exceptional display of murals.

The Uttarayan Complex comprises five abodes of the Tagores- Udayana, Konarka, Shamali, Punassha and Udichi. In addition Chhatimala, Upasana Mandir, and Shantiniketan Bari are some of the oldest sanctums here.
