Uthamar Koil is located eight km north of Trichy Fort Station and 4 km north of Srirangam railway station in Karumbanur. This temple, also known as Kadambavanam or Trimurthikshetram is one of the famous temples among the 108 sacred Vaishnavite shrines. Uthamar Koil is the abode of Brahma, the creator, Vishnu, the lord for the well being of the universe and Shiva, the destroyer of universe. The major feature of this temple is the presence of Lord Shiva with his family in the form of Bhikshadana Moorthy. The festival months of the temple are Aavani and Chithirai.
