Ushakothi Hills




Ushakothi Hills lies on the eastern ghat range of Sundargarh District in Orissa. It is about 40 km west of Sundargarh.

There are mainly two hills situated each other by a kilometer. These hills are of great significance as they house some of the most ancient cave painting sites tracing to Neolithic age. One of these hills is also a place for worship, where under the rock shelter lies a Shivling. During mahashivaratri, the local people throng here in large numbers.
