Urapakkam, also spelt Urappakkam, is situated in Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu. Vandalur is situated in the north, Nandivaram in the south and Padappai in the north-west. Mahabalipuram, Vandalur Zoo, Chengalpattu, Singaperumal Koil and Devanathaswamy Temple are nearby. The nearest airport is Chennai International Airport. Urapakkam Railway Station serves the town. Urapakkam can be accessed from Tambaram and Vandalur by road.
