Unniyarcha, daughter of Kannappa Chekavar, is a legendary warrior woman. She is exalted in the Vadakkan Pattukal. Unniyarcha is the symbol of female valor. She hailed from the Puthooram family and was an expert in martial arts. Famous warriors Aromal Chevakar and Unnikannan were her brothers. Aromalunny, another famous warrior, was her son.
